Besides being a horrible Britney Spears reference, this contest isn't just about emoticons-- it's about literature. Yes, folks, this is all about making literature-related emoticons.


What counts as 'literature related?'

If you're unsure where to start, look to the basics. The literature gallery on devianART is all about writing poetry and prose. Have an emote idea for a Shakespeare parody? Are you going to turn :shakewhale: into :shakemobydick:, perhaps? The possibilities are as endless as you can imagine them.

The two winning emotes for this contest will be put on the legend -- the master emote list used by all of deviantART. It doesn't get more exciting than that, folks!

It must be a new emote created for this contest.
It can be either static or animated.
The deadline is October 6th at Midnight, EST.
